Governance & Accountability

LiveAble Homes is a purpose-driven company. We exist to create long-term value for people, communities, and the environment — not just short-term profit. As part of our commitment to becoming a Certified B Corporation, we have formally adopted a governance structure that ensures we consider the impact of our decisions on:

• Our clients and homeowners
• Our employees and contractors
• Our communities
• The environment
• The long-term public benefit

This means we are legally obligated to balance financial performance with social and environmental responsibility.

  • LiveAble Homes invests in regional workforce development by partnering with local professionals, educators, and housing organizations to build expertise in accessible design and construction. We provide training, certification, and continuing education focused on universal design, aging-in-place, and inclusive housing practices. We also serve on non-profit boards and government advisory groups.

These efforts help create skilled career pathways while raising the standard of accessibility across our region.

  • We prioritize projects and partnerships that increase housing safety, accessibility, and long-term stability. Our work supports aging in place, multigenerational living, and the ability for people to remain in their homes and communities as their needs change.

LiveAble Homes actively collaborates with nonprofit organizations, builders, and public agencies to expand equitable access to adaptable housing.

  • These commitments are reflected in LiveAble Homes’ governing documents, internal policies, and public reporting. We review our performance against these commitments annually as part of our impact management and B Corp certification process.
